Lovely place in Kent the park on Marlborough road is stunning good pleasant walk took me to the most amazing view over the local area where i sat and ate some lunch watching it all go by, good running spot it looked safe for women to walk/run lots of people about walking dogs or walking through to other locations. I walked through alone found it a good place for lone walkers, couples, families and dogs. Lovely place hope to move there soon hopefully nice place to spend the weekend nice leisure center close by with Gillingham town centre not too far off for a spot of lunch and shopping therapy. Parking is possible no return within 3 hours which is awesome.
Used Folkestone as an overnight on a two day round trip of Kent from London to see multiple castles, the cliffs of Dover and Canterbury cathedral and city Plenty other things around Folkestone to allow a longer stay and would have liked to see the WWII bunkers... hopefully next time
A wonderful place to take your time and enjoy! They have a fantastic walking tour of the heart of the city which is a great way to start your stay! The Kent bus service is very inexpensive and a great way to experience the country side.
An attractive base for exploring the Kent and Sussex Weald. The restaurant was attractive if expensive and local pretty village a short walk away.
Dymchurch is a typical Kent seaside town with all the usual family attractions, but there are some beautiful old houses to see. What I liked was a club for people who had just moved to Dymchurch and could feel a bit isolated. Great little Catholic Church- St.Monica's.
Location near historic sites in western Kent (Battle, Bodiam Castle, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Chartwell, Sissinghurst, as well as many less prominent "nooks and crannies". Great atmosphere. Layers of history for over a thousand years within a half hour's drive. Hever Hotel is not easy to reach, especially at night on narrow roads. Road signs at crucial points got us there when the GPS shut down. Only a taxi could take you there if you used public transportation. It was well worth the visit (especially if you have a friend to drive you.)
For shopping: Fremlin Walk For eating: Gem of Kent, Spice Hut and Ghurka Restaurant For drinks: The Stag, The Druids Arms and Mu Mu's For things to do nearby: West Malling, Mote Park, Bearsted
Good location, with excellent rooms, The staff are very good, had a problem with my dinner which was very quickly sorted to my satisfaction Will happily rebook when next in Kent
Southborough consists of a small high street with variety of local shops and takeaways and couple of restaurants and pubs. 10 minutes straight drive intonTunbridge Wells town centre. The common in Southborough is beautiful and there is also a very attractive church at the front of the common. Very easy journey from London. A wonderful base for exploring Tunbridge Wells and surrounding beauty spots in Kent. Plenty to do.
Ashford has attractive corners, but it’s basically a working - and, increasingly, a dormitory - town. It’s key appeal lies in its location, as a nexus of rail and bus links across Kent and East Sussex its an ideal base for anyone exploring this part of the world without a car. Furthermore, it’s international station offers fast trains not only to London but to the continent as well, making it a practical base for visitors from overseas. If you have your own transport though, there are far more attractive and tourist oriented towns and villages to stay in nearby. Notable sights in ashford itself include the parish church and the preserved WW1 tank just off the High street.
My partner and I have stayed here many times before and we love the hotel and the staff are always welcoming. Sea view room is a bonus when available (lovely and clean as always); clean bathroom (shared) and the breakfast was (as always) superb (thanks Steve and Maria)! We could only stay one night as the hotel was booked up for the other 3 nights we were staying in Kent... disappointing as we would have been much happier here than at the Premier Inn in Dover. Thanks to all the staff at the Waterfront. We will see you again soon!
Fantastic location and not the first time we've stayed at Dunkerley's - we love the restaurant and bar and fact it's right on the seafront. Really enjoyed our full English breakfast there, was cooked and presented really nicely and was good produce too. The room was a nice size and immaculately clean. Deal as a town is fantastic too - lots of lovely bars, pubs and restaurants, the local market on a Saturday is a must-visit too and it's a great base for exploring other parts of Kent in a close proximity.
The Best Western Plus Dover Marina was one of the most exceptional lodging options in our 3 wk travels in UK and France. An exceptionally wonderful setting w beautiful views of the white cliffs of Dover, the Kent Castle, and ferry crossings on the English Channel. Just blocks from original old town Dover with delightful shopkeepers. The hotel itself was lovely and very comfortable. All staff were very pleasant, helpful, and efficient. A truly great value!
We were on a walking tour of Kent and had spent the day in fields and forests. The Village Hotel was just what we needed for a relaxing evening and night. We had dinner in their restaurant, and it was crowded but spacious enough to let everyone spread out. The bed was so comfortable, and the shower was amazing....just the thing for two pilgrims to get back onto their path to Canterbury the next day, refreshed and renewed!
This is a very convenient location either for exploring Canterbury or as a break on the way to destinations elsewhere in Kent. The room was well equipped with the inclusion of two chairs particularly welcome. In too many hotels it is necessary to sit on the bed or a hard desk chair. The grounds offer the opportunity for short walks . The meals we had were good too.
Folkestone
A well appointed comfortable apartment on Sandgate Esplanade. Great seaviews and bus stops right outside the door. Good location for accessing Kent south coast and Canterbury. Would highly recommend......only downside would be the number of stairs to access the apartment and internal stairs to access living area and bedrooms. Not a problem for fit and healthy!!
We were in Margate for a concert at Dreamland. The location couldn’t have been better, as it was only a 5 min walk away. Loads of bars and restaurants close by. The apartment was lovely, well decorated with an amazing view of the beach. Just wish we could have spent more time there. Turner Contemporary and Old Kent Market were also within walking distance.
Maidstone
Everything. The best B&B we have stayed in and better than a hotel! Everything was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Perfect for where we wanted to visit in Kent. If ever we visit the area again we'll definitely go back. We might even visit Kent because we loved our stay so much 😁. We were lucky with the weather too😁.
Absolutely exceed my expectations, staff are very welcoming and attentive. The overall experience has been truly lovely. Breakfast over looking the Bay. Room was so clean and location is great for exploring the Kent coastline. I will definitely recommend you stay here such fantastic hotel and extremely good value for money.
A nice stay, the hotel has a great/sexy/cool vibe, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Feels like being in a swanky city hotel, in the middle of the Kent countryside! An excellent place for a date night. Brilliant to have two dining places / restaurants on site and a great bar and lounge area.
Littlestone-on-Sea
From arrival to departure was A++++. Welcome contact, cleanliness, apartment facilities covered everything I needed. The welcome package was the best I have ever seen. Finally everything EXCEEDED my expectations. Apartment will be my number 1 go to when in Kent area every time.
Excellent base for exploring the Kent coast. We arrived by car. Free parking opposite the apartment. We used public transport to explore local area or walked from the flat. Deal centre is close and walkable and contains lots of restaurants.
Always quiet, plenty of space all around the Hotel. Near motorway and Kent attractions Helpful staff, especially Steve on Reception. Useful Pool and Sauna. Staff very helpful with our Family re-union arrangements on the Saturday.
Used this hotel as a base for holiday visiting friends in Kent Good solid seaside hotel. Great location onsite parking Room was bright & clean Friendly staff, food was well cooked and tasty although menu was a little limited
Staff were lovely, rooms good size, clean. Biggest bonus was we were able to bring the dog which meant my brother could attend the event we were in Kent for. If it wasn't for that, he wouldn't be able to come
Hotel is absolutely brilliant we were all down in Kent for a wedding staff were able to fit 22 of us in for dinner at last minute as we were mostly down from Scotland Spa facilities excellent we had a great weekend
Lovely apartment, perfect location right in the centre of the city. Great to have parking and be able to reach the Kent coastline quickly. Our little family loved it, thank you!
Maidstone
Beautiful pub/hotel in Kent countryside. Loved the period features of the rooms. Tables outside to enjoy nice weather for a drink. Garden to the side again if weather nice.
House was very clean and presentable, hotel standard! Beds were very comfortable. The host Lewis was very response and would love to stay here again when I next visit Kent.
Deal
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Dover (Kent)
